About us
The Lake Country Chiefs Youth Football Organization is proud to serve the Lake Country and Arrowhead High School communities by providing young athletes in 1st through 8th grade, with the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive through the game of football. Our mission extends far beyond teaching plays and fundamentals—we are dedicated to shaping well-rounded individuals who carry with them the values of discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and confidence that last a lifetime. By creating a positive, structured, and competitive environment, we aim to instill a love for the sport while also preparing our players to be leaders in their schools and communities. Whether it’s through building friendships, learning how to overcome challenges, or celebrating achievements together, the Chiefs program strives to ensure every athlete gains experiences and lessons that go well beyond the field.
OUR HISTORY
Since our founding and recognition as a nonprofit in October 1991, the Lake Country Chiefs have proudly stood as a cornerstone of youth athletic development in Hartland and the surrounding Lake Country communities. What started as a small, volunteer-driven effort to introduce children to the fundamentals of football has evolved into a highly respected and well-established organization that has influenced the lives of countless young athletes and their families for more than three decades.
Over the years, our program has grown in both size and scope, always focused on providing opportunities for young athletes to play, learn, and thrive. Beyond teaching the X’s and O’s of the game, the Chiefs have built a tradition of instilling life lessons—discipline, perseverance, and leadership—that players carry with them long after their final whistle.
But the true legacy of the Chiefs is measured not only in wins and losses, but in the sense of community we create. Fueled by the passion of volunteer coaches, parents, alumni, and board members, the Lake Country Chiefs have become more than just a football program—they are a family. Today, we remain as committed as ever to shaping skilled athletes and confident young leaders, helping them grow into men and women who embody the values of teamwork, resilience, and pride, both on the field and in life.
OUR PROGRAMS
Lake Country Chiefs Flag Football
The Lake Country Chiefs Flag Football program introduces young athletes to the game in a safe, non-contact, and fun environment. With two divisions—PeeWee (1st & 2nd grade) and Juniors (3rd & 4th grade)—players develop fundamental skills, learn the rules of the game, and begin building confidence on the field. Our focus is on teaching teamwork, sportsmanship, and the joy of football while creating an exciting game-day atmosphere for players and families alike.
Lake Country Chiefs Tackle Football
Tackle football is the founding program of the Lake Country Chiefs and remains at the heart of our mission. In partnership with the All-American Youth Football League (AAYFL)—the largest and most established youth football league in Wisconsin—our tackle program gives athletes the opportunity to grow in skill, confidence, and discipline through structured, competitive play.
Players participate in regular practices at local fields and compete in league games against teams across Southeast Wisconsin. The program emphasizes safe play, player development, and teamwork, while also instilling values like perseverance, leadership, and pride that extend far beyond football. For more than three decades, Chiefs Tackle Football has been building not just athletes, but strong young leaders who represent our community on and off the field.
